IKEA Cafe for Breakfast...a cheap option.

Ok...say what you will.  Either you love or hate IKEA.  I don't know how many times I've gone there and bought items I thought looked really cool and got home and tried to figure out why in the hell I bought it.  The good thing is that most of the items at the store will not break the bank (at least most of the items anyway).

We headed to IKEA this past Saturday and got there a bit earlier than the actual store opened (9:45 AM).  The IKEA Cafe opens at 9:30 AM...so we figured we'd give it a try.

The IKEA Cafe is set up in a 'cafeteria' style and I'm sure you need no instructions on how that works.  For Breakfast...they offer the standard plate - Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Potatoes and French Toast Sticks.  They also had Crepes as well as some cereal obtains.

After you pick the food you want and pay...you are off to find a seat.  All of the tables, chairs, utensils, glasses, cups and dishes are actually for sale in the store...so if you like them...you can buy them.  Kind of cool.  There are a few seats by the window...which seem to be in high demand...even if they overlook the parking structure.

The Breakfast isn't high quality...but for the price - $1.99 ...drink not included...it's a good deal.  They were busy...so the food turns over very fast and fresh hot food is brought in constantly.  The eggs were a bit like cheap buffet eggs, but the bacon was very smokey and better than some of the diners in the area.  The potatoes were deep fried and crispy along with the french toast sticks.  Deep fried...need I say more?

For what it is...it's a good cheap option for food.
