Don't snub grocery coupons!

(My Publix Grocery savings over 2 weeks)
I know...it takes a lot of discipline to cut and manage coupons. Most people don't even bother to save them. Well..I recently tried to see how much money I could save at Publix using the weekly sales flyer and coupons from the Sunday newspaper and ones I found online. I limited myself to items I only use and only allowed myself to buy items that are on sale or that were on sale and I also had a coupon for.
While Publix doesn't 'double' coupon like many places up 'North'...there are still great deals to be had. Publix often has Buy on Get one Free deals...and if you have a coupon to stack on...that can really add up. Publix allows you to use one 'Store Coupon' and one 'Manufactures Coupon'. So you can even stack those if you plan it out right.
Ok...here is the summary on how much I saved.
Last week, the total bill prior to discounts and coupons: $80.60
Total of store sale discounts AND coupons: $39.13
TOTAL PAID: $41.47
Savings of 49%
Yesterday's shopping trip, the total bill prior to discounts and coupons: $162.79
Total of store sale discounts AND coupons: $85.29
TOTAL PAID: $77.50
Savings of 52.4%
While this takes some planning, it's well worth the effort. How can you pass up so much savings?? Because of the coupons and sales...I managed to save $124.42 over the past few weeks. AND I'm stocked up on some great items I always use.
Here is the website I used to print some of the coupons:
