Tijuana Flats, the 'Tex-Mex'..'Fast-Casual' restaurant is moving ahead with it's expansion plans.  The new location on 17th Street (Southport Shopping Center, 1489 SE 17th St., Fort Lauderdale) is opening on Monday.  They are also planning a new location in Oakland Park (5056 N. Dixie Hwy, Oakland Park) which is across from the Publix shopping center.

Tijuana Flats has a bigger menu than Chipotle which will give the area more options to get your Tex-Mex/Mexican fix.  While the place isn't 'authentic' Mexican food...it's pretty good.  The new location in Oakland Park should be open in the Fall/Winter of 2011.
