We've been waiting and talking about this new Sonic location forever! Well…not quite forever…maybe a few years. The new Sonic location at Beach Place Ft. Lauderdale Beach is getting closer to opening. Being the second Sonic location in Florida to offer Beer (the other being the new location in Homestead), everyone in the area is excited for this new addition to the fast-casual food scene. This location will be the first Sonic in Broward County, so I'm sure fans will be making that drive from all over South Florida to get their Sonic fix.

Sources at Sonic informed me that Ft. Lauderdale Beach will be ready to open at the end of October….that is next month! Just in time for tourist season. They also said that while there will be no drive-thru here, they will have an 'express lane' for to-go customers. I'm hearing they will have an ordering kiosk on the main floor of Beach Place…and I'm thinking you just place your order…go up to the restaurant and they are already working on your order. They also have a fairly large dining room that overlooks the beach, so you have quite a few options to enjoy your slushie and food.
