Coconuts Flea Market in Margate, FL opened in Margate this weekend and is a great example of how to repurpose a closed building. Their Grand Opening celebration on November 15, 2014 gives South Floridians another unique shopping experience. We stopped in and checked the place out and also had some snacks from a few local food trucks.
The location of Coconuts Flea Market actually once housed the Corporate Headquarters of Saveology. They closed earlier this year and the owners of Coconuts moved right in. The space provides 110,000 square feet of retail space with all kinds of booth sizes.
New and Used discounted merchandise is all offered in the sprawling space and it’s quite fun to explore and its all air conditioned.
Some of the more unique areas of the Flea Market were the repurposed cubicles. Left behind by Saveology, Coconuts Flea Market now allows vendors to rent out a cubicle for a small fee to sell their goods. It’s definitely one of a kind.

Coconuts Flea Market is open 5 days a week – Wednesday through Sunday from 10am-6pm, staying open late on Fridays till 9pm. They will also be partnering with local food trucks to offer some great food while you shop.
