We stopped in at the new Giraffas Brazilian Steaks & Burgers in Coral Springs after their official opening last Friday.  We had to take advantage of their Grand Opening special – 50% off all entrees for this weekend only (March 22 and 23).  That is a great reason to make it over and give them a try.  And as we have mentioned in our previous postings, you will be back.

They had all kinds of fun balloons all over the restaurant to get everyone in the festive mood.  We both ordered the 10 oz Contra Filet, which is their version of the New York Strip Steak.  It’s marinated overnight and grilled to your liking.  It also comes with a choice of 3 sides.

The steaks are huge and we not only were stuffed, we got to take half home for lunch tomorrow.  We love the grilled veggies here and the French fries were hot and fresh.  I ordered the salpicão as one of my sides which is a Brazilian version of chicken salad.  While this would go good on bed of greens, I probably wouldn’t get it as a side for my steak again.

One thing that is great to see here is the service.  Everyone here is friendly and so helpful.  You almost forget you are at a ‘fast casual’ restaurant and they are always checking on you and offering to refill you drinks or get you anything you might need.  They also are very attentive to making sure your food came out as ordered and cooked to your liking.  Very nice to see.

Keep up the good work Giraffas!
