The Hampton Inn & Suites Coconut Creek just opened their door this week and we stopped in for a quick look. This is Coconut Creek’s first hotel and residents and elected officials are excited. They are hoping to bring more tourism to the city and are betting that the hew hotel will make that goal move forward. It’s located just a few miles from the popular Seminole Coconut Creek Casino and is also close to the Coconut Creek Mainstreet District and the popular Butterfly World attraction in Tradewinds Park.
Hampton Inn’s are known for their clean, updated affordable rooms that offer free breakfast and all kinds of extras for the business traveler and families. The Coconut Creek Hampton Inn & Suites will be a little different than some Hampton Inns, offering a lagoon style resort pool and some designated suites.
We walked through the front door and the hotel has that ‘new hotel’ nice smell. The main lobby was clean and neat and there is a large glass bubble feature that splits the dining area a bit. The front desk is located to the right and we were not able to get in to see a room today (darn), so we just explored around the lobby and common areas. The lobby also had a comfortable looking area to hang out with a TV with lots of places to charge your laptop and cellphone.
They have a small snack shop that appears to be open 24/7 where you can get all kinds of chips and goodies. Soda, beer and wine were also located in this area. We didn’t get a chance to check on the prices.
The free breakfasts are set up just off the lobby and we didn’t get there early enough to see the offerings, but know they have waffles and some hot items as well as cereals.
The dining area is large with lots of places to spread out or even have a meeting. They have the coffee and tea station set up here but we are not sure if it’s just for breakfast or all day. We even saw that they had charging areas for cellphones and laptops. Cool.
They have a workout room with cardio equipment and free weights. It looked like they had some empty space, so maybe they will add some machine weights. The pool was not open yet, but it did look really nice. There is also a whirlpool/spa that is located out by the pool.
The business center is open 24 hours and you need a key card to enter.
The pool looked very inviting and it looks like they were still doing the final touches and it wasn’t quite open yet along with the spa/whirlpool. They also have a putting green out front free to use.
They had a cool butterfly art piece out front along with two electric car chargers.
Overall a nice job on Coconut Creek’s first hotel – The Hampton Inn & Suites. Hopefully we will get to see a room sometime soon.
The Hampton Inn & Suites is located at 5740 State Road 7, Coconut Creek, Florida.
