Let me start off by saying we REALLY like the pizza here. This is one of three locations in South Florida and while we haven’t tried the others, Pasquale’s Pizza Company in Coconut Creek is consistent, fast and always fresh.
We called in an order after grabbing a beer at World of Beer and arrived in about only five minutes. The restaurant was a little busy so we took a seat to wait. The inside is very neat, clean and modern. It’s one of the nicer pizza places we’ve been to and it’s nice to see one that isn’t all checkered table cloths and an ‘Italian mural’ on the wall. Don’t get me wrong, those places are cool…but something different is also cool. Tile, stone and modern lighting make it relaxing and a nice spot to hang out. They have lots of flat screen TV’s around the place to catch the game. They don’t have servers, you place your order at the counter and they call your number when your food is ready.
The menu has your typical Italian favorites from Pizza, Calzones and Stromboli. They have a selection of salads as well as some Italian dinners like ziti, parm dishes and more. They have some appetizers that would please any fried food junkie as well. They do have beer and wine and we saw maybe five beers on tap with an additional selection of bottles in the cooler. We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and onions with an appetizer of chicken fingers and waffle fries.
Rather than call our ‘number’, they called our name. No big deal, but just be aware of. The pizza smelled amazing. That 10 minute drive home smelling hot pizza seemed like it took forever. Once inside we started off with the chicken fingers. While I’m pretty sure they do not hand batter them in house, these were really good. They had a familiar taste of another version that I can’t put my finger on. The breading was on the thicker side and very crunchy. The chicken was good quality white meat and these were better than some of the chicken fingers we’ve had at many restaurants around. The waffle fries were crisp and tasty and were of the frozen variety. They honey mustard dipping sauce went well with the chicken, so make sure you request some if you order these.
Now it was pizza time. Lifting the lid, we got our first peak. This pizza looked good! It was a little larger than the box so it lifted up a bit on one of the sides. The sauce was even and left a nice ring of crust all along the edge and the cheese looked like a big blanket. The pepperoni was loaded and the onions were just the right amount to give some texture and flavor. The crust is really good here too with a slight chew while still not getting soggy. The cheese blend is perfect as well with just enough creaminess to tie it all together. The sauce is one of my favorites as well…not overly sweet (if sweet at all) like so many do in the area. The main topping – the pepperoni is good quality and they don’t skimp.
We get the large and it yields eight pretty large slices which for us always gives leftovers…usually breakfast the next morning. Pasquale’s is one of our favorites in the area and we suggest you check them out. Pasquale’s Pizza in Coconut Creek has good service, good food and is a sharp looking restaurant.
